Diagnostic and Pharmacy Services for Your Pet
Nothing’s worse than watching your dog or cat struggle without knowing what’s wrong. At The Vet Gal and Guys, we offer diagnostic services and a fully-stocked pharmacy to help your pet feel better sooner.
Diagnostic Services
A physical exam can only get us so far. That’s why we need diagnostic tools to help us take a deeper look at your pet’s symptoms. Our diagnostic tests can identify a variety of medical conditions that can affect your cat or dog.
Some of our diagnostics can be performed in the comfort of your home during a mobile appointment, such as:
- Ear and skin cytology
- Fine needle aspirations
- Heartworm tests
- Parvovirus tests
- Feline FIV/FELV tests
We can also collect blood, urine, and fecal samples at your home. Samples can be tested at our in-house lab or sent to our partner lab for testing. If your pet needs more comprehensive exams, we can schedule an appointment to pick them up from your home and bring them to our clinic.
At our physical location, we offer everything listed above plus:
- Digital radiology
- Cytology
- Complete blood count (CBC)
- Chemistry panels
- Histopathology
- Echocardiograms
- Ultrasound
For ECHOs and ultrasounds, we partner with a traveling ultrasonographer who comes to the clinic and works with Dr. Ashley to review the case.
If your pet needs advanced diagnostics and services, such as a cardiac workup, internal medicine workup, oncology, ophthalmology, emergency care, or surgery performed by a board-certified surgeon, we’ll refer you to a trusted specialist.
Pharmacy Services
We carry our pharmacy with us in our van. Most of the medications we prescribe or recommend come with us wherever we go! If there's medication your pet needs that we don’t have in the van, we can grab it from our in-house pharmacy and drop it off at your home. You won’t have to lift a finger, and that’s just how we like it.
If your pet needs a specially prescribed food, we carry a limited supply of those foods with us. We can order additional prescription foods for you from VetSource.
