At The Vet Gal and Guys we offer a fear/anxiety free pet examination in the comfort of your own home.
We eliminate the need for long waits in veterinary lobbies and we focus on one client/patient at a time. Our goal is to bring quality veterinary medicine to each pet and client for the best possible veterinary experience. We offer a variety of services in Southlake, Westlake, Trophy Club and portions of bordering cities including Grapevine, Colleyville, Roanoke and Keller. We have complete veterinary experience, including examinations, surgery, diagnostic testing and pharmacy.
Our examinations with our doctors specialize in making your pet as comfortable and calm as possible.We do all of our exams in the comfort of your own home or in the patients normal environment.We will do a complete physical exam and look for potential problems or establish a baseline health check so that we can treat or eliminate potential problems before they become a larger illness.
We offer a pick up and drop off service for all surgical procedures. All of our doctors are experienced and skilled surgeons. Our practice has the advantage of having a CO2 laser which decreases pain and bleeding during procedures. We offer pre-surgical bloodwork to ensure your pet is healthy prior to an anesthetic procedure. We are a small hospital and focus on decreasing stress to ensure your pet has the best possible experience while with us and during travel.
There are a variety of diseases that can infect dogs and cats. Some of these diseases are transmissible to people. We offer ultra pure 1/2cc vaccines and vaccine tittering to ensure that your pet is protected from potential pathogens. We also offer Mercury free Rabies vaccinations for the health of your pet. We can email most boarding and grooming facilities your pets records to make the process easier for you and the boarding/grooming facilities.
We offer fecal examinations to ensure your pet is parasite free. If you frequent dog parks, take your dog on walks or hikes or go to boarding or grooming facilities it is of the utmost importance to do yearly or bi-yearly fecal examination to ensure your pet is parasite free.
Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes. Many pets that are not on a monthly prevention or an injectable preventative will become positive for heartworms. Heartworms live in the heart and lungs of dogs and cats and can lead to congestive heart failure and lung disease. Studies have proven that both indoor and outdoor pets equally become positive for heartworms.
We offer slim fit non migrating microchips that can be scanned by any shelter, veterinary office or animal control officer to ensure retrieval and safe rehoming of your pet. Microchipping is a simple, fast and relatively pain free way of ensuring your pets safety. The microchip is placed underneath the skin of your pet and is registered for life, there is no monthly fee after placement of our microchips.
We offer state of the art diagnostic testing which excludes digital radiology (X rays), complete blood cell counts, chemistry panels, fecal examinations, urinalysis, histopathology, cytology and many other diagnostic tests to provide you the the highest level of care possible.
We carry our fully stocked pharmacy with us and can provide you with medications at the time of the examination. We also deliver prescription refills when you need more medication. We offer Proheart 12 injectable heartworm prevention that will provide your pet with a year of heartworm preventative with one injection. We also offer prescription diets that can be delivered to your door as needed.
We offer dental examinations, dental cleanings and dental radiology (X-rays). Many clients don’t know that you can only visibly see about 30 % of a dog or cats tooth. Dental radiology can identify disease below the gum line so that it can be treated to eliminate tooth pain and infection.
Cold Laser Therapy
We offer non invasive cold laser therapy. Cold laser has no side effects, reduces pain and inflammation and helps patients recover quicker from injuries and surgery.Learn More
